DAY 1 : ARRIVAL MUMBAI
On arrival, assistance and transfer to Hotel.
The name Mumbai comes from ‘Mumbadevi’, the patron goddess of the fishermen, the original inhabitants of the seven islands that make up the city. The new name Mumbai was adopted in 1996, not without resistance and its fair share of controversy. Its use has gradually spread, though the city remains ‘Bombay’ to many.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 : MUMBAI
After breakfast, indulge in sightseeing of Elephanta caves, located on an island about 10 km away from the Gateway of India. Reach the Island by Motor Boat. Also visit other prominent places.
The Elephanta caves consist of temples carved from rocks, which date back to the 7th century. Later, visit The Prince of Wales Museum, Open air Laundry (Dhobighat), and the Hanging Gardens; this terrace garden is situated over Mumbai’s main reservoir opposite the Kamala Nehru Park.
Relax at night in the hotel.
DAY 3 : MUMBAI – BHAVNAGAR
After breakfast, assistance and transfer to domestic airport to board flight to Bhavnagar. On arrival check in at the hotel and indulge in afternoon sightseeing of Bhavnagar.
Bhavnagar, a place of several lakes and temples, lies in the southeast corner of the peninsular region of Gujarat known as Kathiawad or Saurashtra. Founded in 1743 AD, on the site of a small village of Vadva, Bhavnagar was once a flourishing port.
Unwind in your hotel room by night.
DAY 4 : BHAVNAGAR
Early morning leave for Palitana around 0430 Hrs for day excursion
Palitana is home to the Temple dedicated to Shri Adishwara, the first Jain Apostle, and is considered most sacred.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure and retire for the night at the hotel.
DAY 5 : BHAVNAGAR – AHMEDABAD – BHOPAL
Drive to Ahmedabad after breakfast. Upon arrival, have lunch followed by sightseeing of Ahmedabad city.
Visit Calico Textile Museum, founded in 1949, the museum houses court textiles used by the Mughal rulers, regional embroideries of the 19th century, tie-dyed textiles and religious textiles. Other places of interest are Sabarmati Ashram and Swaminarayan Temple.
Leave for Ahmedabad railway station to board a train to Bhopal.
DAY 6 : ARRIVAL BHOPAL
On arrival at 0830 Hrs, assistance and transfer to the hotel followed by a city tour of Bhopal.
Visit Bharat Bhawan - a multi art center, The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (National Museum of Mankind), Laxmi Narayan Temple, and the Taj-ul-Masjid - said to be the largest mosque in the country.
Sleep like a log in your hotel room.
DAY 7 : BHOPAL
Explore Sanchi Stupas & Museum.
Sanchi is a village in Madhya Pradesh and houses relevant Buddhist sites. The grand Stupa is built over the relics of the Buddha and is an architectural marvel. A major tourist attraction, it is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Retire for the night.
DAY 08 : BHOPAL – UJJIAN – MANDU
Drive to Mandu after breakfast and visit Ujjain on the way.
Ujjain, considered as one of the seven sacred cities of India, is a popular tourist and pilgrimage center. It is dotted with historical temples. One must also visit the Ved Shala, an ancient observatory.
Check in at hotel on arrival and stay at the hotel till it dawns.
DAY 09 : MANDU
After breakfast, proceed for sight seeing of Mandu.
Mandu, a city of ruins in Madhya Pradesh is seeped in the romantic history of its regal inhabitants. The city is famous for its sculptures, forts and the Jama Masjid.
Enjoy a soothing sleep at the hotel.
DAY 10 : MANDU – MAHESHWAR – OMKARESHWAR - INDORE
After Breakfast drive to Indore visiting Maheshwar and Omkareshwar on the way.
The holy island of Omkareshwar is shaped like the sacred Hindu symbol OM. Here the Narmada and the Kaveri rivers meet and the pilgrims gather at the confluence in large numbers. Maheshwar on the other hand is said to be the abode of the Hindu Lord Shiva, and houses many temples of the same deity.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel and rest during the night.
DAY 11 : INDORE – BHOPAL - GWALIOR
After breakfast drive to Bhopal railways station to board train to Gwalior.
Gwalior, a city in Madhya Pradesh, boasts of several educational institutions that are well known across the country. It is particularly distinguished for a one of a kind sports university.
On arrival assistance and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 12 : GWALIOR – AGRA
After breakfast, set out for a sightseeing trip of Gwalior.
Visit the palaces and the spectacular Gwalior fort. The fort encloses in itself several buildings of historical significance, such as Jain and Hindu temples, a mosque, shrines and pillared pavilions.
Drive to Agra in the afternoon. Check in at the hotel on arrival and retire for the night.
DAY 13 : AGRA – DELHI
After breakfast city sightseeing of Agra visit Taj Mahal & Agra Fort followed by a drive to Delhi.
Taj Mahal, the most celebrated mausoleum in the world, stands tall at Agra. Shah Jahan built the immaculate monument in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz. Agra Fort on the other hand is also a world heritage site very close to the Taj Mahal. It is perhaps the most important fort in the country and is breathtaking in its demeanour.
On arrival at Delhi, dinner and transfer to International airport will be provided before a flight to home country.
